Almost a year ago i started an online portfolio to see if i could get into modeling. Modeling is not my first passion, my real goal is to become an actress but i figured it was a good opportunity to get into the business. After being on the website for a while i figured that it was pretty much hopeless. The only people asking me too shoot either lived way to far away or they were creepy perverts. I had pretty much given up on the whole idea.
Then when the last month of school came around my friends asked me to help them with a project(well they didnt really ask i just heard the idea and thought it would be fun). My friend brianna had taken an independent study class for clothing design and our other friend cody had taken an independent study for photography, so for their final they decided they would make a magazine. She would wear the cloths she made and he would take the picture of them.
I used to love to take artsy pictures but i kind of stopped doing it for a while. I thought it would be cool to get back into it.
Moving on, the next couple days after school we would go around our town and take pictures. Me and bri would wear the cloths and cody would capture whatever he thought would look good.
After getting some pictures back from him, i remembered my old modeling portfolio. I uploaded the pictures and not even a week later i was contacted by a photographer. I was about to write him off just like all the other lost causes but i decided to look at his work. I saw on his page that he was from a town only 10 minutes away from where i lived and he had taken pictures with some girls that i knew. I immediately replied to him and we set a date to meet up and sign some paper work(because im a minor).
After all that was done we set a date to do the shoot. He told me that 6:30 was when the lighting was the best outside(i know yikes huh!)When the day came around i woke up at five thirty to do the shoot and me and my mom met him at the park. It was a little uncomfortable at first but i eventually got used to it. We took a variety of shots outside with a few different outfit changes. Let me tell you, if you think modeling is not hard im about to tell you differently. Everything that feels awkward looks the best and you have to hold a pose for long amounts of time so when you finally get a good shot your arms and legs start to shake and go numb.
Anywhoozle...After the outdoor shots we went to his studio where we took some more pictures, mostly head shots. Finally three hours later we were done. Its been almost two weeks and i just now got my pictures back. Tell me what you think?
