Miley cyrus Conrtoversy

Being a Disney star, Miley Cyrus Is supposed to be a role model for younger kids all over America, But recently she has been trying to break away from her all-american girl persona. It all started with a controversial vanity fair photo shoot. This turned out to be one of the biggest teen scandals in history, until candid photos of her were released that made her vanity fair photo shoot look like a school picture. The photos feature a then 14 year old Miley Cyrus exposing her bra. When her cell phone was hacked more racy photos were released. One picture shows Miley laying on the bed with her "boyfriend", his hand a little too close for comfort. She also has many pictures posing with her shirt pulled up and even one in the shower with a wet t-shit on.
Not only were there racy photos of her, but a video on youtube showed her being less than kind to disney co-stars Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez.
All this seems to be so insignificant compared to what has been going on lately. I'm all for Miley Cyrus breaking away form her Disney roots, actually i encourage it, but has she gone too far? And why doesn't she seem to care about how she is portraying herself?
A few weejs ago more photos surfaced of Cyrus supposedly not wearing any underwear. Just last weekend another photo exposing her private area was posted on perez hiltons twitter account.

To make things worse she also kissed a girl on Britains got talent.
I have to say I'm kind of enjoying this new Miley because i think it shows that she is more real and that she is a teenager and this is normal for most teens. I feel like she is more relatable now that she isn't some perfect Disney star, but a part of me still feels like she should slow down and stop trying so hard. I dont want her to end up like all the other slutty stars. She has so much more potential than Brittney Spears and i fear she is wasting it just to change her image. She should just be herself and not try to be a perfect disney star but also not try to be a mini prostitute.

Do It Yourself beauty! (lips)

Tip#1-When blotting your lipstick use a coffee filter not a tissue. The tissue will stick to your lips leaving bits of residue behind. You can reuse the filter as often as you like and then throw it away when your done.

Tip#2-Full, Pouty lips-After applying a gloss or lipstick, dab a bit of white shimmery eyeshadow in the middle of your lower lip.

Tip#3-To get your lipstick to stay follow these steps.
1-Apply foundation to lips
2-Powder them to set the foundation
3-Apply lipstick and gloss
4-Blot with a tissue(or a coffee filter lol)

Tip#4-When your lips are dry and cracked. Use an old dry toothbrush, and rub your lips with it, then apply vaseline on them.


Tip#5-If you want to make your lips look bigger, get a lip liner that is close to your natural lip color. Draw the lines slightly outside of your real lip lines, then apply your lipstick and lip gloss. Blend them together with your finger or a lipstick brush. When your done with that, clean up any makeup that's outside the lines and apply a white shimmery eyeshadow in your cupids bow(that little dip right above the middle of your top lip, isnt that a precious name for it). For extra pout put some lip plumper in the middle of your bottom lip.

Do It Yourself beauty! (hair)

For silky hair:

Remedy#1:Olive oil-Pour a small amount of olive oil in a cup and heat it in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds. Once a week, while in the shower, apply the olive oil to the tips of your hair and massage. Let this sit for about 3-5 minutes then rinse THOROUGHLY. This will help moisturize your hair and restore some of the vitamins. You should probably wash your hair twice with shampoo otherwise the smell of the olive oil will still be there and that's really not that cute lol.


Remedy#2-Mayonaise- Make sure to do this one when you have plenty of time on your hands. Mix a half a cup of mayonaise with a quarter cup of your regular conditioner and apply it all over your head. Let this sit for an hour(you should probably get a shower cap or something unless you want your dog trying to eat your hair.) After the hour is up, hop in the shower and again rinse THOROUGHLY or you will smell like a sandwich.


Remedy#3-This one is pretty easy and its something you can do all the time, When blow drying your hair, use cool air instead of hot air. This will keep it from being as frizzy, but beware this does take a little longer than hot air.

Remedy#4-This one is also very easy but a little bit uncomfortable. Rinse out your conditioner with warm water, then right before your about to get out of the shower, rinse quickly with cool water. The warm water allows the conditioner to penetrate the hair shaft(yeah i really did just say that). When you follow with a cool rinse it locks in the moisture.

Remedy#5- Once a week out conditioner on your hair while its completely dry and let it sit for about 15 minutes then continue with a regular shower. Dry hair can better absorb the conditioner.


Remedy#6-Flyaways- Dip a CLEAN mascara wand in hair gel and run it through your hair, not to close to the root, this can make your hair look greasy. This also gives you a reason to recycle(yes I'm a huge hippy).

Remedy#7- You know that nasty, gridy feeling your hair gets after you use a lot of hair product or going for a swim in a public pool? Try using baking soda and warm water to rinse your hair. Baking soda is somewhat abrasive so don't overdo it. You can also try mixing it with your shampoo.

Remedy#8- Since it is summer, you need to give your hair extra love to keep it healthy and moisturized in the sun. Fill a plastic bottle(you can get them at wal-mart) with one cup of water, one tablespoon of sunscreen, and one table spoon of leave-in conditioner. Shake it up really well and spray it in your hair before and during your time in the sun. You can also damp your hair, coat it in conditioner and braid it. Since your hair will already be wet, it wont absorb as much chlorine. And the braid will dry leaving you with a cute wavy hair do in case you plan to go somewhere after the pool.

Step aside OPI!!! There is a new nail trend in town! I was watching tv recently when i saw something that caught my eye. Nail polish that changes colors when indoors or outdoors! Temperature is what makes this nail polish so unique, and at ten dollars a bottle its an inexpensive buy considering that you get two colors in one bottle. Pretty little liars

So, most of you know that there is a new tv show on abc family called pretty little liars. It premiered two weeks ago on Tuesday the 8th. The show was originally a book series and it was directed by the same people that made vampire diaries. So if you are a fan of vampire diaries im sure you will also enjoy pretty little liars. The show is centered around four estranged best friends who share a very important secret about their friend allison, Who has been missing for over a year.

As soon as i saw the previews i imediatly knew i wanted to watch the show(even though i hate every other show on abc family) I was praying that this one was going to have some decent acting unlike everything else on that channel.

The first episode starts off with a flashback of the girls before allison had gone missing. This shows that the girls definitely know something about her disapearance but in respect for her they keep her secret knowing that it could help find her. With Allison out of the picture, the girls lose contact and go their seperate ways but are reunited when allisons body is found. Half way through the show we find out that allison is in fact dead and her body has been recovered, but mysterious threatening text messages sent from an annonymous "A" makes the four girls assume otherwise.

After about ten minutes of the show i realized that all these girls are like super slutty. First you have spencer who loves to hook up with her sisters boyfriends, then you have aria who enjoys making out with teachers in dirty bathrooms, next there's Emily who may or may not be a lesbian and last but not least Hannah who uses her looks to feed her clepto personality. All gorgeous girls of course, hense the name PRETTY little liars.

Watching the many flashbacks i kinda wondered why on earth were any of these girls friends with allison she was somewhat of a bitch, but i guess thats what teenagers do. The flashbacks show that the unknown "a" sender must be allison given that everything she says is related to secrets that only she would know.

Moving along to the end of the episode, while they are sitting in the funeral home discussing allisons death a blind chick enters obviously upsetting the girls. When the funeral is over the girls gather outside and recieve another text message from "a". I instantly wondered why all of their cell phones were on loud if they were just in a funeral but then again it is ABC family. Anywhoozle... the text message reads "I'm back bitches and i know everything" and in rolls the credits with a huge cliff hanger on the first episode.
